Life
my 3 years of polytechnic life is going to end in a few weeks’ time. and I must admit, I’m not ready. I’m not ready to move on to the next phase of my life, but neither do I want to continue studying. I don’t see a point in continuing studying something I don’t really enjoy. I have grown to like this course to a certain extent, but it’s not what I’m really passionate about. but well, it’s a diploma I’m stuck with and there’s no turning back. I don’t even know if I can foresee myself being an optometrist for a period of time. I’ve been through third year clinics, attachments here and there and I’ve come to realize how boring and mundane this career path can get. I don’t want to jump courses because there’s really nothing that I’m interested in and I don’t want to feel like I’ve wasted 3 years of my life.
my future is so uncertain. and I’m not even confident that I’ll get a good job with a reasonable monthly income. and that is what scares me the most.
